Luxyon – Solar energy available everywhere

Luxyon develops flexible, lightweight, and highly efficient perovskite solar cells that can be integrated onto almost any surface – from windows and façades to drones and electronics. Our solar technology can adapt to all surfaces and has 95% less mass compared to traditional silicon solutions, while offering excellent performance even in low-light conditions. We are focused on licensing our technology to solar cell manufacturers and industrial partners, with the goal of making solar energy available on every surface touched by the sun.

Problem

Today’s solar industry is limited by rigid, heavy, and environmentally problematic silicon panels, which have reached the boundaries of their energy efficiency and are difficult to integrate into modern applications that require lightweight and flexible solutions. Additionally, silicon production consumes large amounts of energy and water and generates significant CO₂ emissions, while flexibility and transparency are nearly impossible to achieve. Because of this, the market lacks lightweight, flexible, and highly efficient solar solutions that can cover surfaces where silicon cannot, slowing down the broader adoption of clean solar energy.

Solution

Luxyon is developing lightweight and flexible solar cells that overcome the limitations of today’s rigid and heavy solar technology — and do so in an environmentally friendly manner. Thanks to these properties, we enable easy integration of solar energy into many more surfaces, including drones, transport vehicles, agricultural structures and consumer electronics. This opens the door to markets that have so far remained untouched. With an innovative, scalable production process and proven technical expertise, our goal is to accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy and position Luxyon as a key partner in the new generation of solar solutions.
