On Wednesday, April 15th, the ESIL Masterclass will take place at the Zagreb School of Dental Medicine – a workshop designed for researchers and teams who want to turn their scientific results into tangible innovations, projects, or entrepreneurial ventures.
This is a hands-on programme focused on one of the key challenges in research: how to move from the lab to the market. The workshop covers the full innovation journey, from shaping a research idea and defining its potential impact, to understanding funding opportunities such as EIC Pathfinder and EIC Transition.
Special attention is given to topics that are often overlooked in early-stage research but are essential for long-term success: intellectual property (IP) strategy, exploitation planning, and understanding investor expectations and investment readiness.
Designed for researchers and innovation teams
The workshop is aimed at STEM students, researchers, PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows, as well as teams developing deep-tech solutions in early stages (TRL 1-6). It is particularly relevant for those considering applying to EIC programmes, launching a spin-off, or seeking private investment.
Participants will gain practical guidance for developing their own projects, a clearer understanding of how to structure strong EIC proposals, and insights into how to approach Business Angels and present their ideas in a clear and compelling way. The programme also includes real-life case examples and the opportunity to receive feedback from experienced experts.
Participation is free
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
