At Odonata Technologies, we are transforming the way warehouse inventory is conducted by using autonomous drones and AI. Our system enables fast, safe and accurate inventory from the air, without the need for working at height, manual scanning or stopping logistics processes. The drones perform inventory autonomously and generate reliable real-time stock data. The solution is specifically tailored to pallet warehouses, where it significantly increases efficiency and reduces operating costs.

Problem

Annual warehouse inventory (a legal requirement) is still performed manually, resulting in frequent errors, stock inconsistencies and costly operational downtime. During inventory, warehouses must suspend logistics processes, which can last up to two weeks. Goods are often located in the wrong places or cannot be found at all, further slowing operations and increasing costs. Such practices reduce data accuracy, complicate procurement planning, and ultimately decrease the profitability and competitiveness of warehouses in the market.

Solution

Our solution uses autonomous drones equipped with an AI system for visual stock analysis and precise navigation inside the warehouse. The drones autonomously carry out the inventory, compare the actual state with the data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and return to a docking station for charging and/or data transfer when needed. Upon completion, a deviation report is automatically generated, highlighting areas that require additional checks. The system enables more frequent and more accurate inventories without interrupting logistics processes and without human involvement, and it can be integrated into existing warehouse infrastructure without additional modifications. The solution is scalable and cost-efficient, especially for pallet warehouses.
