10 Selected Teams Continue to Develop Their Ideas through Education and Prototyping in the Second Phase of Nuqleus Startup Builder!

After successfully completing the first phase of the Nuqleus Startup Builder program, which focused on ideation, team formation, and validation of the commercial potential of their ideas, we have now entered an even more exciting phase of the program. Its focus is on education and prototyping. From an initial group of 15 teams, composed of experts from leading Croatian academic and research institutions, the 10 best-rated teams are now moving into the second phase of our program to develop their ideas in the fields of advanced materials, IT, biomedicine, mining, robotics, and more.

During the five-month first phase, more than 40 experts from Nuqleus’s partner scientific institutions (Ruđer Bošković Institute, Institute of Physics, Faculty of Organization and Informatics Varaždin, Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Faculty of Mining, Geology, and Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, School of Design (Faculty of Architecture), Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture Split, Faculty of Kinesiology, and the Economic Institute, Zagreb) and other Croatian research organizations exchanged knowledge and worked intensively on developing innovative ideas from various sectors. The highlight of the first phase was the team presentations before the Nuqleus scientific board and selected mentors, who evaluated the teams based on various criteria such as their expertise, motivation, and commitment to developing the startup.

Now, 10 selected teams continue their journey in the second phase of the program focused on education and prototyping. They will face a very intensive period but also an extraordinary opportunity to work with top mentors from some of the most successful Croatian startups. The teams will participate in weekly workshops and lectures on various topics such as business development and business models, product development, ownership structure, and investment raising, among many others.
